Orange has recorded another case of coronavirus after a resident returning from overseas was put into isolation in a hotel in Sydney. Western NSW Local Health District confirmed the traveller had recorded the positive test. A spokesperson also said one former case of coronavirus in the region was determined to be a false positive test, meaning the total number of cases stays at 45. It brings Orange's total cases of coronavirus to 11, with the one in isolation the only active case. The spokesperson reiterated the importance of social distancing to reduce the risk of transmitting the disease.
"This is important for everyone, but particularly for older people and people with health conditions that make them more vulnerable," they said.
"It's also important that we protect our health care workers who we need to stay well to provide care to people who become sick with COVID-19."
