Emergency services were called to the scene of a blaze on Pilcher Street at about 8pm on Thursday after reports of a blaze.
Chifley Police District Inspector Adam Beard said the fire appeared to begin in a bedroom before spreading, but firefighters were able to contain the damage.
"Upon arrival NSW Rural Fire Service and Fire and Rescue brigades were able to extinguish it quickly," he said.
"The damage appears to be relatively limited."
No-one was home when the blaze started, and no-one was injured.
Inspector Beard said an investigation had been set up to determine the cause of the fire.
