A teenager has been arrested and charged after allegedly crashing a stolen car, setting it alight and fleeing near Springside on Tuesday.

After allegedly stealing the vehicle from an address in Orange at about 12 noon, he hit a pole while driving down Forrest Road.
Central West Police District Acting Inspector Greg Payne said hitting the pole had rendered the vehicle "inoperable".
The youth managing to guide it down Ginns Road before Acting Inspector Payne said he allegedly set it alight and fled the scene at about 12.30pm.
Police were called to the fire and located the teenager - whose age can't be revealed - a short time later, where he was arrested for breaching previous bail conditions.
He was taken to Orange Police Station and charged with breaching bail, possessing a knife, trespassing, stealing a vehicle and damaging property by fire.
He was bail refused to appear in the Parramatta Children's Court by audiovisual link on Wednesday.
Orange Children's Court is currently closed due to corornavirus restrictions.
