"It was a hard decision to cancel the transport service. However, if a staff member contracted the disease, it would mean we would have to close down the medical service indefinitely," Medical service chief executive officer Jamie Newman said.
"This means clients won't have access to healthcare when they need it most. Alternatively, we are offering to organising cabs and ask those who can catch public transport to do so."
With 15 years of providing healthcare, the Orange Aboriginal Medical Service is reinforcing social distancing restrictions and voluntary self isolation for their clients.
"We are offering telehealth services, but some clients who are social distancing do miss the face-to-face interaction, and this is impacting their emotional wellbeing," Mr Newman said.
"We have over 4,000 clients and we want to ensure they remain healthy and that also extends to other family and community members."
