If you have young children at home then the chances are you're probably finding it incredibly difficult to juggle your work emails, your actual job and the normal administration tasks which accompany most employment while keeping an eye on your children.
In all honesty when children are young, and learning from home, they need someone to keep a close eye on them.
Young children need tasks downloaded, explained, checked and submitted ... they also need to be encouraged to undertake all the school work that's expected.
Of course when it comes to older children there's an expectation that they suddenly become a `self-starter' even if self-motivation has never been their strength.
We can however rest assured that they are probably doing, largely, what it required of them and that's thanks to the wonders of technology.
Schools are electronically allocating work, sending information about the tasks at hand and then using that same technology to receive the work. It's amazing and for the most part it seems to be working well.
Let's hope we all feel as positive six months down the track.
