The event, originally scheduled for the June 6, will now be held on March 6 next year.
A statement on the event's Facebook page said nothing was more important than the health of the night's supporters.
"After taking advice from leading health professionals and knowing that many who attend our events are in a higher risk group, we're confident that this decision is in the best interests of everyone involved."
"Your safety must come first," the statement said.
The statement said the Stars of Orange campaign itself would continue to run because the stars and dance schools remained on board and encouraged members of the public to keep giving.
"However, we wish to respect their fundraising and rehearsal efforts by making sure they feel like they can give this experience their all, outside of these uncertain conditions," it said.
Tickets will be adjusted digitally to reflect the new date and seating will remain the same.
