Police will allege that a man entered a grocery store in Moulder Street about 12.15pm on Saturday and demanded cigarettes while armed with a knife.
Police arrested an 18-year-old man and charged him with attempted robbery with an offensive weapon over the alleged incident.
The man was refused bail and is to appear before Orange Bail Court on Sunday.
In another matter police from Central West Police District are investigating a crash with an unoccupied parked vehicle on Gardiner Road on Friday night.
According to police, a parked Toyota HiLux with an an attached trailer was hit heavily by another vehicle about 9pm.
The other vehicle left the scene without stopping and police and NSW Fire and Rescue attended.
Police launched an investigation and located a vehicle with extensive damage in Lilac Avenue.
