After finishing runners up in 2018, the students took out the division two crown a year later and made their claim for a top grade spot an undeniable one.
Not only is she the Master in Charge of Kinross netball, she was the senior girls' coach throughout their purple patch in second grade and Fardell says it's no fluke that her youngsters have pushed their way back to the top: "I'm so excited for them. All the girls have earned their spot," Fardell said.
"It's so important for us to have a team in first division because it's the only way young talent can go through."
After parting ways with Vipers in the off-season, Fardell will take on a captain-coach role at Kinross in 2020 but says her presence on the court isn't something we should get used to.
"Those girls are all really capable. I won't be playing too much," Fardell said.
Not only is the roster full of talent, it boasts plenty of depth as the school's thriving netball program is going from strength to strength, drawing almost 200 students from years 7-12 to its training sessions.
"We've got a plethora of talent and I'm stoked about that," Fardell said.
The veteran skipper doesn't want to end up in division two again and has a plan in place to help her side avoid relegation.
If we apply ourselves we're definitely capable

"I think we need to set our expectations high and tell ourselves that we can be competitive," Fardell said.
"If we apply ourselves we're definitely capable."
Those plans tie directly into Fardell's goals for the season and wants her students to be a tough opponent for anyone they play against throughout the year.
"I want to end up in the middle of the pack and finish in the top five," she said.
The season will commence in early April.
