According to Mrs Biffin, who is staging the event, this is the first time the expo has been held in Orange and it has attracted 85 exhibitors with caravans, camper trailers, four-wheel drives and camping accessories.
"It's a huge industry that's only growing," she said.
Mrs Biffin said camping is a popular hobby that's affordable and social particularly as many people feel overseas travel is restricted due to the coronavirus.
Canobolas 4WD Club will conduct demonstrations throughout the expo, the Australian Travelling Fish Show will demonstrate using lures on barramundi and there will be a children's corner with a jumping castle and face painting.
"We had a bit of interest from exhibitors saying they would like to come to this region," Mrs Biffin said.
"We had a look around the Central West - the field days site is well set up and well-known, that's why we decided to go in that location."
"It's not only the grey nomads getting on the road these days, our main target is families and middle-aged people - they're working and have money to spend," she said.
"People don't want to take the kids on holiday and be locked up into an apartment - caravan parks are very social and very safe, kids can meet other kids and they can ride their pushbikes."
The event runs Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
