VIDEO: Watch Tzzy in action on the drums ...
Matilda Taylor, better known as Tzzy, won the people's choice award for the most popular under 12s category in the '2019 Global Youtube Hit Like a Girl' drumming competition.
From that achievement Tzzy won a scholarship to the School of Rock in Sutherland and her band 'Blindly Led Youth' headlined an emerging youth rock concert held at the Orange PCYC in August last year.
Hugh Taylor from School of Rock in Sutherland heard news about this concert and suggested the 'Beach to the Bush and back' concept, an idea Orange City Council and the PCYC got on board with to help the dream become a reality.
"Matilda Taylor is the perfect example of how a young person can display so much talent and want to follow her dream," Orange mayor Reg Kidd said.
"Matilda and her family have played a large role in bringing this event to life, giving so many young artist the chance to hit the big stage in front of their closest family and friends."
