Luke Frederick Boney, 33, of Calang Street, was given a 12-month Community Correction Order, requiring rehabilitation and abstaining from drugs, for having 0.15 grams of methamphetamine on May 4, 2019.

According to police, Boney was walking along Dalton Street pushing a blue bicycle and was stopped by police near Calang Street due to previous vehicle and bike thefts in the area.

He was searched and when asked if he had anything in his possession he said, "year, a couple of fits" referring to a syringe, he revealed the syringes and police also found a small resealable plastic bag containing methamphetamine.

Boney said the bag previous contained the drug ice but what was left he couldn't "mull up".

Boney was also given a nine-month CCO for having a suspected stolen pension card in his possession on September 11, 2019.

According to police officers saw him running from a parked vehicle on Honeyman Drive on September 11, and following a short foot pursuit he was stopped, arrested and searched.

During the search the officers found a woman's NSW pension card. Boney said he found the car in Newman Park and he didn't know the owner of the card.

Boney was already in custody for other matters when he appeared in court via an audio visual link.

During sentencing he was also given an intensive correction order for breaching a community correction order he was given for contravening an apprehended domestic violence order, and he was given a new CCO for breaching a previous order for drug possession.
