Plenty of front yards are starting to show large patches of green and there's more and more people dusting off the lawnmower in an effort to tame what was once simply a dust bowl.

According to the latest water storage figures, Orange's total water storage climbed from 21.05 percent of capacity on February 14 to 21.09 per cent on Friday.
Orange mayor Reg Kidd is thrilled that we've reached this milestone and he's right to be excited.
As he says it's serving as a huge encouragement to those people of Orange who continue to try so hard to save water.
This week Orange City Council figures reveal Orange residents used just 120 litres per person per day and that's something we should all be feeling pretty proud of.
Yes let's celebrate the rainfall but let's not forget we're playing a long game and as this drought continues to impact Australia we all have to do our best to continue to save water.
