With Fletcher Rose heading out of Central's Bathurst Orange District Cricket Association side for this weekend, the question was where the runs would come from without him.

On Friday, Jake Pauletto said he hoped it would come from the top six, and while Brenton Anthony stood up to hit 69 at the top of the order, the bulk of the rest of the side's 239 runs came from a less likely source - Daryl Kennewell.
The Centrals skipper had a day out with the bat on Wade Park on Saturday, hitting an unbeaten 88 from number eight to give his side something to defend with ball in hand against St Pat's Old Boys.
Kennewell strode to the crease to join Logan Buckley with the score at 7-125 and the Centrals skipper said the two set about consolidating the innings.
"We tried to knock it around and try and accumulate some runs," Kennewell said.
"Boys got some good balls early, some played some silly shots but the wicket was a bit up and down."
He said he relished the chance to score a few runs.
"It was good, I was seeing them pretty well so I thought I'd make the most of the opportunity," he said.
"It was slow going, we were trying to accumulate and get to the last session. We were on 131 heading into it and came out with a bit more intent."
He said towards the end of Centrals innings batters came out wanting to get him to the hundred with the milestone looming, but Kennewell said he was having none of it.
"I told them I don't give a stuff about the hundred, I just want to get runs on the board," he said.
The tail fell away quickly after that, leaving the skipper stranded with just 12 runs to get, having passed his previous high score of 74.
He wasn't fazed by missing the milestone, and was more miffed and not hitting the 280 runs he thought was par on the Wade Park deck.
Kennewell praised Brenton Anthony, who hit 69 from the top of the order to "set the platform" for the tail to come out and do some more of the heavy lifting.
"If you don't have guys doing stuff like that then it puts a lot more pressure on everyone else," he said.
Cooper Brien hit a quickfire 54 not out when St Pat's began the chase, with the side 1-66 chasing 239.
