Business development manager Paul Rapley said there were 144 golfers on Friday for the four-person ambrose contest at Duntryleague Golf Club and they avoided the rain.
"That's probably 10 more than normal - you can fit only so many people on a golf course, but we did squeeze in a few extras this year," he said.
The extra numbers also contributed to a 40 per cent growth in raffle and auction totals later in the evening.
Mr Rapley said the fundraising tally was still being confirmed, but believed the total would be somewhere between $28,000 and $30,000.
"Twenty-five thousand dollars was the target," he said.
Mr Rapley said this year, the total would be spent on a wheelchair accessible car.
"We need it for our day program so instead of using the big bus, which is quite cumbersome to park, a small wheelchair accessible vehicle can be used particularly for one-on-ones for lunch and activities," he said.
Mr Rapley said the day program, which includes social activities had grown from seven clients in early 2019 to 61.
"That's our growth area at the moment," he said.
