LARGE events such as last week's A Day on the Green really do highlight the best and worse of human behaviour.

The bus drivers hired to ferry people to and from the event could not have been better.
They were polite, they were helpful, and above all, they were extremely jovial.
Many of the patrons who jumped on the buses were chatty and keen to help anyone less-mobile exit the bus ahead of what was one of the best events the city has every hosted.
Heifer Station staff, and the volunteers who worked with them, were also wonderful and helpful despite the tricky job of moving so many people through the gates.
However it wasn't all smiles.
Some of those who attended the event had clearly suffered as a result of the heat and they were tired and cranky.
There were of course some who were simply drunk.
Sadly some of these people had a go at those who danced in front of them, those who came after 6pm and tried to secure a space, or even those who sang too loud.
It was disappointing to see that not everyone values the comfort and enjoyment of their fellow concert-goers.
While the behaviour of some didn't mar a fantastic event, it was disappointing to witness.
