Leanne Maree Showell, 47, of Sieben Drive, was stopped on The Escort Way at 4.15pm on September 5, 2019.
She returned a positive breath test so she was arrested and taken to Forbes Police Station for a breath analysis.
Showell's driver's licence was suspended on the spot and she later returned a mid-range reading of 0.112.
Solicitor Simeon Miller said Showell had been drinking earlier in the day but received a phone call from her mother asking for her to collect some fruit.
"She cannot remember why she started drinking on the day of the offending," Mr Miller said.
"Given the fact that she's been off the road and I would submit that her punishment has already been dished out."
Showell was given a six-month community correction order, no driving disqualification and a 12-month interlock order.
