A police officer was allegedly kicked on the arm by a man near the Lords Place taxi rank early on Sunday morning.

Central West Police District Inspector Scott Rayner said police had been attempting to arrest the man, 27, at about 2.15am after he was allegedly seen urinating in public view and using abusive language to police.
"[He] kicked out a number of times striking a police officer on the arm," he said. The officer suffered a minor injury.
Inspector Rayner said the man was charged with using offensive language in a public place, behaving in an offensive manner in a public place, failing to comply with a move-on request, resisting arrest and assaulting police causing actual bodily harm.
He was bailed to appear in Orange Local Court on February 24.
In a separate incident a man, 38, was hit over the leg with a wine bottle after he refused to hand over money to four young people in Robertson Park about 1pm on Sunday. He was not injured.
Inspector Rayner said the group of males and females were believed to be all under 18.
He said they demanded money from the man but when he refused one of them hit him with the bottle.
In a separate incident a man broke into a Margaret Street house while the occupant was outside in the garden at about 8.20-8.30am on Sunday.
Inspector Rayner said the woman called police when she saw the man inside but he fled before they arrived.
He said the man stole cash, a gold engagement ring and a ladies' shoulder bag containing a driver's licence and bank cards.
Inspector Rayner said crime scene police from Bathurst later attended the scene and police were continuing their enquiries.
In a separate incident a man, 34 from Orange has been charged with low-range drink driving after being stopped while driving in Allenby Road at 10.25pm on Saturday night.
He will appear in Orange Local Court on February 24.
