Co-owner Dale Thornberry said the corner block also faced William Street and featured off-street parking.

"We're noticing already access is easier, you're not fighting to get to the shop now," she said.

She said partner Ian Stapleton had been operating in the area for 30 years and still dealt in car locks, residential and commercial safes, as well as digital locks.

The business moved in December, but expects to host a launch party.

ORANGE Young Professionals is celebrating the return to the working year with the first networking drinks event for 2020 this Friday.

The group will meet at the Greenhouse of Orange from 5.30pm, with everyone welcome.

Committee member Jaci Norris said the event would start building momentum for the group so it could begin hosting speakers later in the year.

"It's the first time we've done that venue," she said.

Mrs Norris said the networking events allowed people to build contacts and were especially valuable for those who worked alone or had recently moved to the area.

"For people who work remotely, it's providing an opportunity for that social side that they don't get from work - it's like Friday night drinks, but not with the people in the office," she said.

AFTER a full renovation, The Blind Pig Bar and Cafe is relaunching this Friday as the Blind Pig Sound Lounge and Bar.

Having moved into fine dining late last year and put the business up for sale, owner John Vandenberg decided to hold onto it and instead return to his original concept of a small-bar licensed premises focusing on live musicians.

"We'll have entertainment nights for not only the younger demographic, but our post-baby boomers, who grew up with the amazing music movements of the '60s through to the '80s," he said.

Mr Vandenburg said botanical gins had been an interest of his for a long time and he would showcase them at the bar.

The launch party starts at 8.30pm, including bar food and entertainment from the River Rats, with tickets available via the bar's Facebook page.
