The celebrations start from 8am with the community breakfast provided by the Canobolas Lions Club ahead of presentations of award winners and the naming of the Citizen of the Year with entertainment until 1pm.
Club member Peter Chilcott said 15 people would be preparing the mega feed.
"We will cook 600 breakfasts," he said.
"It's a damper bun with two eggs, a large sausage and bacon and it also comes with an apple and a fruit juice. All for $8," he said.
Orange's Australia Day ambassador for 2020 is former champion wheelchair tennis player David Hall, who is a Paralympic gold medallist.
Mr Hall will also be judging the Central Western Daily Best Dressed competition on the day.
A citizenship ceremony to welcome new residents will be held from 10am.
Entertainment for children includes amusement rides, face painting and an orienteering maze.
Music will be provided by the City of Orange Brass Band, the Canobolas Highland Pipe Band and the Orange Male Voice Choir.
There will also be dance performances from Colour City Dance Works and the East Orange Physical Culture Club.
You can continue to party elsewhere in town during the afternoon and evening.
The Greenhouse at Orange will have Australia Day celebrations with a band, contests and entertainment from noon.
Paul Hogan's classic Aussie movie Crocodile Dundee will be playing at the venue's rooftop cinema from 5pm.

And if you fancy a swim, there will be free entry to the Orange Aquatic Centre all day on Australia Day.
