Extinction Rebellion Central West spokesman Kate Allen will address the meeting at the Environmental Learning Facility at Orange Showground from 7.30pm.
ECCO president Neil Jones said it was timely with calls for all levels of government to declare a climate emergency.
"[It will] provide an opportunity for local residents to hear how they can be involved in actions that will help raise the awareness of the seriousness of climate change and how to contribute to long term solutions," he said.
Extinction Rebellion is an international activist group which aims to encourage politicians to take action on climate issues.
