An 11-year-old boy is in critical but stable condition after he was struck by a car at the intersection of the Northern Distributor Road and Telopia Way near McDonalds.

The child was riding a scooter when he was struck at 4.45pm on Thursday.
Officers attached to Central West Police District attended, as did paramedics in two ambulances who treated the boy at the scene before he was airlifted to Westmead Children's Hospital.
The helicopter landed at the oval at Waratahs, with the car park temporarily closed to the public.
The 38-year-old driver a the Suzuki Swift which struck the child returned a negative breath test and was treated at the scene for shock.
Investigations into the crash continue.
