PCYC NSW is hosting disco and barbecue events as well as After Dark Beats and Barbecue events to give children and teenagers in drought affected towns the opportunity to enjoy themselves during the summer school holidays.
An event will be held at Molong Community Hall between 6pm and 9pm on January 23.
Another event will be held in Blayney at the Centrepoint Sport and Leisure Centre also from 6pm to 9pm on January 24.
PCYC NSW activities state manager Greg Howe said the state government initiative will help families and young people in the most drought impacted parts of rural NSW take a break from the pressures of drought and have some fun.
"Summer barbecues, good music and dancing are a great way for kids to have fun and get social," he said.
The events will be held in 20 locations across NSW through funding from the NSW Drought Stimulus Package. The events are free, no tickets required.
