A teenager from Orange has died after a water skiing incident near Cowra on the first day of the New Year.

Police were called to Wyangala Dam, about 40km north-east of Cowra, at 9.15am on Wednesday after a 13-year-old was reportedly injured on the water.
Several police cars and ambulances were dispatched in response.
The teenager was pulled from the water by family members who administed CPR.
He was taken to Cowra Airport where he was airlifted to Westmead Hospital in Sydney, but died about 2.30pm on Wednesday afternoon.
The driver of the boat, a 45-year-old man, was questioned by detectives from Chifley Police District and officers have seized the vessel for forensic examiniation.
A report will be prepared for the coroner, and enquiries are continuing.
