CYMS can cement a finals spot with a third straight win while the Bulls, who battled 'a few cobwebs' in their first-up loss to Orange City two months ago, now face three all-but must-win encounters through the rest of the preliminary stage.
They are the only side to have come back from two straight campaign-opening losses to play finals in the Twenty20 tournament's history, doing so last summer, but skipper Kurt Toole knows a victory will release the pressure valve.
We're feeling pretty good heading in ... we're pumped and ready to go.
- Bulls skipper Kurt Toole
He's confident his side has the firepower to do just that and take down the green and golds, who have already knocked off reigning champions St Pat's Old Boys this summer.
"We feel pretty good heading into it. The first game of the season for us was a Twenty20 game against Orange City, we lost that and we definitely had a few cobwebs," Toole said.
"We've dusted them out we've some good two day cricket (results), so we're pumped and ready to go."
With that rustiness out his side's system Toole said balance is the key to the Bulls' victory and in turn finals hopes.
The side boasts plenty of experience in the likes of two-time Carl Sharp Medal winner Ryan Gurney, who was in the Centennials' title-winning side in 2017-18, and inspired Lithgow's win the summer before that.
Gurney's brother Joel played in the latter win after moving over from the Lightning too, while Blake Aubin's in career-best form so far this summer.
"Our team is pretty balanced for T20. We've got big hitters and then boys who can stabilise. The two Gurney brothers are big hitters and the Aubin brothers (Blake and Kyle) are great stabilisers so that's a good mix," Toole said.

Although it's a vastly-different format Centennials' two wins from three starts in the long-form, Bathurst-Orange Inter-District Cricket competition gives the side plenty of confidence.
Toole puts that down to the excellent atmosphere in the club at the moment, which didn't initially nominate a side for the exclusively two-day competition.
"It feels good to have a couple of wins under our belt," he said.
"The culture at our club has changed a bit this year and I think all of us love playing together. Because we're enjoying it and having so much fun it's bringing the best out in us."
Friday night's clash starts at 6.30pm at Wade Park.
