The team will invite the public into the store for demonstrations on how to sew pouches for WIRES to give animals injured in the NSW and Queensland fires.
Spotlight's Jacque Wilkinson said they would come up with some easy to follow patterns for gloves and jackets.
"We've got such a crafty community, it'd be great for everyone to do their little bit to help," she said.
A spokesperson for WIRES said its volunteers are on standby to enter fire grounds once the RFS and National Parks and Wildlife Services declare an area safe to access, however this can take up to three weeks after a fire has passed through.
"The current bushfires have come on top of the worst drought in decades and our wildlife is in need of assistance like never before with over one million hectares of native habitat destroyed this year alone due to fires," said the spokesperson.
Spotlight will provide sewing tips and tricks during their VIP sale night on Thursday which is open to non members.
From 6-8pm, staff will run activities for children and animal lovers will have a chance to help out.
Customers are invited to drop their sewed goods into Spotlight over the next few weeks. The store will arrange postage to WIRES.
