Kinross Blue comfortably knocked off CYMS by six wickets and now hold an imposing 12-point buffer from the second-placed Warriors, who leapfrogged the green and golds after their Climpson-inspired win over Kinross White.
Opening the batting, Climpson belted his third ball along the carpet to the fence and never looked troubled on his way to an unbeaten 122 not out, carrying as bat as Orange City piled on 3-208 from their 35 overs.
With Will Burdack (3-29) leading the charge the greens skittled Kinross White for 120 in reply to pick up their first competition points of the season. Alebit separated by quotient, they're now deadlocked with CYMS and Kinross White.
Spring Hill also continued their undefeated start to the Third Grade summer with a 54-run win over CYMS Bourkes, which keeps the Wood Ducks six points clear of the chasing Orange City and Centrals Wanderers, both of whom also picked up wins on Saturday.
Led by Andrew Rutledge (59) and Lawson Hamling (47 not out) Orange City chased Central White's 163 with four wickets to spare, while skipper Gareth Faul was the star of the show in the Wanderers' big win over CYMS Kellys.
Faul blasted his first ton of the season to lead his side to an imposing 264, which CYMS Kellys fell 110 short of at Jack Brabham 1.
In Saturday's other Third Grade game Cavaliers posted a reasonably meagre target of 7-125 but then routed the Gladstone, skittling the reigning champions for just 69.
Reigning Second Grade champions Orange City produced a big upset of their own to hand CYMS a five-wicket loss, the green and golds' first defeat of the season.
Mick Evans and Nathan Rosser steered the greens to victory, Evans snaring 5-22 to help roll CYMS for 144 and Rosser bludgeoning an unbeaten 96 in the chase.
Cavaliers also knocked off Kinross on Saturday afternoon, the maroons decimating the students for just 70 and cruising to victory by eight wickets in just 11 overs.
