A 55- year-old male was on Wednesday charged with a string of offences after allegedly assaulting and threatening another person.

The male was charged with two counts of breaching an AVO and as well as being hit with common assault, trespassing on private property and armed with intent to commit an offence charges, and two counts of stalking.
Police will allege the male assaulted and threatened persons protected by an enforceable apprehended domestic violence order.
The male was issued with a Court Attendance Notice and appeared before Orange Local Court on Thursday.
Meanwhile, a 49-year-old male was charged with destroying property on Thursday morning.
Police will allege the male damaged property belonging to a 78-year-old female in a domestic violence related incident.
The male was issued with a Court Attendance Notice and will appear before Orange Local Court on October 31.
A disabled parking permit was stolen from a car on Sampson Street on Wednesday morning.
The theft occurred between 9am and 10am on Wednesday, just one of a string of stealing offences recorded across the city this week.
Another break-and-enter occurred at a property on Bathurst Road between 8.30pm on Wednesday night and 6.20am on Thursday and entry was gained via a garage door.
It is reported tools and a range of toys were taken.
A computer and audiology equipment was taken from a white Isuzu van on Wakeford Street on Wednesday night. Entry was gained via an unlocked door.
While a parcel was also taken from a home on Dalton Street between Friday, October 4 and Sunday, October 13.
