We will now start up the Spring/Summer Comp next Wednesday, October 16 and would like to welcome anyone that is interested in coming along for this friendly night of tennis. It starts at 6.30pm with a guaranteed four sets each.
Players are not committed to turn up every week if you are unable to make it on the night, which is ideal.
We were overwhelmed with the response for the School Holiday Coaching Clinic.
Eighty kids registered, filling the entire 10 courts at our complex. Club coach Alison and her band of helpers did a fantastic job in managing the crowd over the three days, with plenty of hitting as well as Hot Shots for the little ones.
On the last day a mini tournament was held, with the winners receiving prizes.
In the top 16 group singles event first place went to Kaydn, second was Xavier, third was Stephanie and fourth was Sam.
Group one doubles winners were Matt and Sam and second was Fred and James. Group two winners were Hugo and Fred and second were Indy and Quincy. Group three winners were Nick and Henny and second were Ruby and Eliza.
The Turn Up Tuesday Junior Competition will return next week at the changed time of 5pm and will finish at 6.30pm. All juniors who are able to serve and score are welcome to turn up.
There will be a committee meeting this coming Sunday at 12.30pm in the clubhouse.
Any apologies are to be given to the secretary or any committee member. After which, Mixed Social will start at 1.30pm.
The committee extend a big get well message to club's coach Darren, who is currently recovering from surgery. We are sure he will back on the court soon.
