Organisers are in discussions with him about appearing at the Sustainable Expo being organised by the Rotary Club of Orange and Orange City Council.
Chairperson of the Sustainable Living Week committee John Mills said the week would start with an expo markets day at Northcourt on Sunday October 27.
"We're hoping to have Craig Reucassel here as a presenter on the day," he said.
Mr Mills said that if Mr Reucassel was able to attend he would present part of the day and potentially be involved with recycling activities with school students.
He said Sustainable Living Week events had run in various forms over the past 11 years in Orange but this year they wanted to "increase the profile" by having a major day to start the week.
We're hoping to have Craig Reucassel here as a presenter on the day.

That would include the club's regular markets being held at Northcourt.
"There would [also] be 15-20 stallholders relating to sustainability around that," he said.
Mr Mills said there would be a display of electric cars, solar technology and council staff talking about water usage and waste.
He said the council had provided a $6000 grant toward running the event and the Rotary club would be providing other funding including a $1000 grant from Charles Sturt University.
"We're still looking for more smaller sponsors," he said.
He said having one major day would enable a stronger focus to be given to sustainability and recycling for people of all ages.
"We're still looking at how schools will be involved," he said.
Kate Willoughby, who runs Orange Eco, will be among the stallholders at the expo selling a range of zero-waste and recycled items ranging from bags to shampoo.
She said she hoped Mr Reucassel would attend.
"Craig Reucassel is my hero. I can't wait to meet him," she said.
Ms Willoughby said his TV show War on Waste had inspired her to get involved in sustainable living.
She now also runs workshops on recycling, including how to use beeswax wrap instead of plastic cling wrap for protecting food.
Anyone interested in being involved in the expo should call Mr Mills on 0429 323 464.
