Proposals for the fitout of a chemist and a cafe have been lodged as part of the overall area of the medical complex's retail precinct.
A Terry White Chemmart chemist will be in suite two on the ground floor while a so-far unnamed cafe is also planned.
The plans for both will be assessed by council staff.
Work on the six-storey medical centre complex started last September and the first stage is due to be completed in October.
The Bloomfield Medical Centre will be 25 per cent larger than the similar Gardens Medical Centre in Albury.
It will feature a private hospital, an 82 room medi-motel, childcare opportunities, a gymnasium, parking for 800 cars, a GP clinic plus opportunities for pathology, radiology, pharmacy and other allied health facilities.
A rooftop garden and specialist floor garden balcony area are also planned.
Developers James Richmark Director, Mr Frank O'Halloran said there had been a "strong response" to being involved in the complex from the Orange medical profession and from Sydney and NSW.
"[It] gives us confidence for a healthy occupancy on completion," he said.
