Having grown up in the bush, Gian said he's seen the effect of depression and suicide on communities.
"Friends and family of mine have these issues. Most came out on the good side but others [have] not," he said.
In response, Gian has harnessed the support of headspace to put on an under 18s dance party for the region's youth on September 14.
The event at the Orange Showgrounds aims to raise awareness for young people's head health.
Gian said music is a common language he hopes will bring people together.
"As a 15-year-old there isn't a lot I can do, but I'm going to do everything in my power to see less people [fight] mental illness [alone]," he said.
headspace's Community Engagement Coordinator Sharna Lord said it was incredible to see the passion Gian has to help others.
"As a youth service, we are so proud to be a part of this event - supporting a local young person who is working so hard to reduce the stigma and bring people together at the same time."
The supervised event will run from 6:30-10pm.
Tickets are available via Eventbrite, with 20 per cent of the profits going toward headspace Orange.
