In the first game on Sunday we took on Dubbo Rhinos and Rhyan F showed his step and swerve to score a good try. Lachlan Gander showed his pilfering skills and also scored after a good turnover. Will Fardel and Lewis Vaughn found their timing and linked their way through.
Game 2 we were up against the Mudgee Wombats where Tom Wythes was in rare air in both attack and defence. Brothers Sam and Archie Cox combined well for a nice movement through the centre. Cooper Judge made a finding run through some would be defenders.
Game 3 saw us take on Molong Magpies and the girls Jess Adamson, Addi Warren and Kenzie Miller all combined and showed the rest of team how to tackle and attack with flare.

Orange City under 13
Everyone predicted an epic battle, and the Under 13s Major Semi-final between Chemmart Chemist Orange City and Orange Emus didn't disappoint. Every player on both teams fought hard, with Emus taking early possession of the ball, though the brilliant tackling skills of Dom Segger and Koby Bryan prevented Emus crossing the line on many occasions.
Time after time Alex O'Brien and Harry Wood supported James Walker so he could focus on manoeuvring to win the ball in the scrums. Trixie Ward communicated brilliantly to control the forwards, and Charlie Poole and Tama Nixon provided invaluable power to in the front row.
Lachlan Newman was pivotal in getting the ball quickly out of the ruck, and Alexa McKinnon- Braid stayed with the ball.
Using pure strength, Lily Bone put the only 5 points on the scoreboard in the first half to bring the score to 10-5 to Emus at the break.
The Lions came out firing in the second half, Hayden Buesnel, Angus Tremain and Temana Te Rupe moving the ball along the back line with lightning speed. Ilka Gordon's persistence saw her constantly chasing the ball, and Andrew Ingham used his speed.
Harry Kukla stormed through the defence to cross the stripe for his first of 2 tries, successfully converted by the boot of Tremain. Manaia Nixon constantly followed the ball, chasing down her opponents, and Zac Shannon was everywhere on the field.
Brody Duncan used his powerful legs to smash though the Emus defence, and Jamie Adams took a brilliant catch off a clever Tremain kick.
Tremain put the final nail in the coffin, sprinting down the sideline to fly over the line to bring the final score to 24-17, and send the Lions though to the Grand Final.
