Central West Police District Inspector Shane Jessep said the man, 35, from Orange began abusing police officers when they stepped out of a police car parked outside Orange police station at 9.10pm on Friday.

But, 25 minutes later they were called to the car wash on the corner of Byng and Peisley streets where the same man was involved in a "physical altercation" with another man.
Inspector Jessep said after separating the men, one man was arrested and taken to the police station where he was charged with offensive langauge, assault occasioning actual bodily harm and failing to comply with directions.
He was given conditional bail to appear at Orange Local Court on September 16.
In a separate matter cash and gift cards were stolen from a white Mitsubishi car parked in a Kent Avenue driveway between 8pm Friday and 8am Saturday.
Inspector Jessep said there was "no sign of forced entry."
