The Bureau of Meteorology has issued a sheep graziers warning on the back of that forecast, with winds of up to 45 kilometres-per-hour and daytime temperatures no higher than 6 degrees celcius in the morning.
Areas likely to be affected include the South West Slopes forecast district and parts of the Central Tablelands, Southern Tablelands and Snowy Mountains forecast districts.
There is a risk of losses of lambs and sheep exposed to these conditions.
The weather is predicted to be relatively bleak this week with tops of 8 degrees on Tuesday, 9 on Wednesday and 9 again on Thursday, with a chance of rain each day.
Friday will mark a return to frosty mornings, with a morning low of minus-2 and a top of 13 degrees.
