Those might be different goals but when it comes to a women's Premier League Hockey derby you can bank on both clubs playing like everything's on the line.
Souths are the team with nothing to lose this Saturday - their finals chances dashed last weekend - while cross-city rivals St Pat's need a win to ensure a top two finish.
Their chances of finals were already slim but it didn't make last round's 3-2 loss to Confederates any less heartbreaking for Souths.
Souths were unfortunate not to take a draw from the match as Feds picked up a late goal.
The two blues were hopeful of winning that match to give them added incentive against finals-bound St Pat's.
Still, the chance to win a derby game will give Souths plenty of drive.
There's expected to be strong support for Souths this Saturday and coach Chris Stafford hopes that can help lift his side in their concluding contest.
"The girls want to prove something in their last game of the season, plus knocking off Pat's is always nice," he said.
"But more so the game's about being a confidence booster for next year. Going through with a win at the end would be great. If we can stayed focused on ourselves we can cause an upset.

"Obviously their coach is away and Sarah Watterson is also away at Country Championships so hopefully we can make the most of that.
"There's a silly Sunday planned and it's our club day as well so there should be quite a few people down there to watch the game. Going back to the pub afterwards is always much nicer after a win."
Pat's were far from their best during a narrow win over Ex-Services' last round.
Souths might not be finals bound but Saints' Kristy Ekert is expecting a high quality of hockey from their opponents on Saturday, meaning the margin for error is far slimmer.
"It's going to be a very tough game. I'm pretty sure it will be like playing finals hockey and it will give us a taste of what we will be coming up to," she said.
"There was a bit of frustration to come out of that last game. It was definitely a wake up call two games out from finals.
"We didn't really play our best hockey. It was very scrambled and we weren't doing our own thing. The main thing this weekend is for us to go out there and play our own hockey."
Pat's wouldn't mind a repeat of the 5-nil win they had over Souths in June.
However, banking on a similar result seems a folly given the levels of hockey each team showed last Saturday.
First place is mathematically alive for the Saints but it would require not only a big win over Souths, it would also require Panthers to hammer front running Orange CYMS in their game.
The first objective for Pat's is the four points to take the Panthers out of the major semi-final equation.
Souths and Pat's clash on Bob Roach Field from 1.50pm.
