A cold weather warning has been issued to graziers across the Central Tablelands - an area including Orange, Bathurst, Cowra and Blayney - with snow and ice predicted during the next three days.
"Sheep graziers are warned that cold temperatures, showers and strong westerly winds are expected," the Bureau of Meteorology alert stated.
Weatherzone.com is predicting Orange to face top temperatures of six degrees on Friday, followed by maximums of just four and three on Saturday and Sunday, with snow predicted both days.
Wider areas include the Central Tablelands, Southern Tablelands, South West Slopes, Riverina, Lower Western, Snowy Mountains and Australian Capital Territory forecast districts and parts of the Mid North Coast, Hunter, Northern Tablelands, North West Slopes and Plains, Central West Slopes & Plains and Upper Western forecast districts.
There is a risk of losses of lambs and sheep exposed to these conditions.
