Travel website Wotif last year sought to find the Next Big Thing, won by the Queensland town of Chinchilla, which is famous for its melons.
Wotif travel spokesman Chris Milligan said Wotif paid for the Big Melon to be built in the town.
We will gift this festival to the winning town.

Now they are looking for suggestions from the public for the best festivals to suit cities, towns and suburbs across Australia in the Festival of Wot? search.
And they are promising to pay to put on the festival.
"We will gift this festival to the winning town," he said.
POLL: HAVE YOUR SAY
Mr Milligan said Wotif would talk to the relevant council and interested parties in the town to organise the event later this year.
He did not know what would be involved in a fake tan festival, which was posed in an email by a member of the public, but said music, entertainment and events would make up the winning event.
Apart from the Festival of Fake Tan for Orange other suggestions have included: Festival of Shannon Noll in Condobolin, Festival of Sausage Sizzle in Sausage Gully (Victoria), Festival of Double Denim in Denham (WA), Festival of Fairy Bread in Fairy Meadow, Festival of Baby Goats in Meredith (Victoria), Festival of Bin Chickens in Brisbane and Festival of Chicken Salt in Gawler (SA).
"We've also had the Festival of Bacon and Egg Rolls for Eggs and Bacon Bay in Tasmania," he said.
A Festival of the Redheads has been suggested for Maryborough in Queensland.
But even though Orange already has a redheads festival, Wotif does not want to join with an existing festival.
"The idea is to have a whole brand new festival," Mr Milligan said.
People keen to come up with their own ideas for Orange can nominate at the Wotif website by August 18 and four will be selected for a public vote from September 18-29 - the festival with the most votes will be the winner.
