While the top grade does also present Orange City to claim a huge scalp and end their so-far-winless season on a high, it's the second grade grudge match that is the more intriguing prospect.
The greens are third and the Lions fourth, but neither can drop out of the finals frame and are expected to hold those positions after this weekend's final round derby as well, although Emus can jump back to second if results fall their way.

That doesn't seem likely though because along with an Emus win it would also take last-placed Forbes upsetting the second-placed Dubbo Kangaroos, and so a mouth-watering, all-Orange minor semi-final in a fortnight seems the most likely prospect.
That magnifies the importance of this weekend's derby to no end, giving both a sides a look at the other before squaring off again at Cowra following the general bye.
Although Orange City are 20 points adrift of Emus in terms of the ladder they hit their straps in a big way last weekend to hammer Forbes 40-12, while the greens come into Saturday's encounter after a clunky performance in their 33-22 defeat at minor premiers Bathurst Bulldogs' hands.
The second grade local derby kicks off at 1.50pm at Endeavour Oval, before the top grade clash and then the BrothersIVBrothers showdown between Emus Legends and Knox Old Boys Legends.
