A MAN was arrested on Wednesday morning after allegedly threatening a woman with a knife overnight.

It is alleged the man, aged 21, contacted the victim via phone on Tuesday and made a number of threats during an altercation.
Police allege the man, who was armed with a hunting knife, arrived at the woman's home about 9.40pm, and attempted to force his way inside, kicking, then stabbing, the front door.
The man fled from the scene shortly before officers from the Central West Police District arrived.
Following inquiries police arrested the man at a Bathurst Road home at about 10.30am on Wednesday.
The man was then taken to Orange Police Station for questioning and he remains in custody.
An investigation into the incident is now under way.
