The Orange City junior, playing halfback, has been scintillating from the back of the scrum and is a huge reason the Beasties remain in post-season contention, so much so he leads the competition's try-scoring ranks through 16 rounds.
Grant has crossed the stripe 11 times so far in 2019 to top the leaderboard by just one five-pointer from Northern Suburbs' Nathan Russell, while Eastwood duo Michael Icely and Kitu Ratu are one further back along with Sydney University's Harry Potter.
Grant's path to becoming a bonafide try-scoring sensation in 2019 has been a pretty consistent one that he's more often than not carved directly through opposition packs on the edge of the ruck, regularly identifying half gaps or tired piggies and sniping his way over from the base of the breakdown.
He's not the only Lions junior running rampant with ball in hand either.
Yool Yool leads the try-scoring stakes in the W McMahon Memorial Shield, Sydney Rugby Union's colts top grade. From Manly's back three he's crossed 19 times this season in just eight games, including stunning five, four and three-try hauls against Western Sydney, Southern Districts and Eastwood respectively.
