Emus remain six points adrift of competition leaders Bathurst Bulldogs and they meet for the third time this year - the ledger is square at the moment - in round 14, should both sides continue winning that clash could well decide the minor premiership.
But if Emus lose to Roos and Bulldogs beat Orange City as expected, well, that minor title and with it hosting rights for the major semi-final are all but Bathurst's.
Something would have to go very wrong for Emus top drop out of the top two, they're 11 points ahead of third-placed Cowra, but the greens' goal remains that home semi-final.
Roos, on the other hand, are a further 10 points back from Cowra in fourth, and they're seven points clear of fifth-placed Forbes.
Crucially they play both those sides in the final two rounds so they have plenty of control over their destiny in terms of where they finish in the top four, because they certainly look destined to at least do that.
But a victory over Emus this weekend would be a massive confidence boost and depending on the result of the Cowra-Forbes clash, potentially cut into that margin to third monumentally.
Neither Emus nor Roos had named a side at time of publication, kick-off at Endeavour Oval is at 3.15pm.
