Mr Ierema and his brother Terence were visiting the city to help raise money for The Starlight Foundation, which is a charity which helps children with terminal and serious illnesses.
The pair were in Orange on Monday fundraising, and Eddie said he loved coming out to see the generosity of people in Orange first-hand.
He said he loved being able to make a positive difference to the lives of sick children, with his NRL connection often allowing children to meet their favourite players, or to help them and their families go away on special holidays together.
