The members met at the historic structure on Monday and vowed they would not let the attack get them down.
It takes a lot more to knock these blokes down.
- Hugh Laird, chairman Orange Men's Shed.
Chairman Hugh Laird said while the building and equipment was damaged none of the members' work projects had been burnt.
"It takes a lot more to knock these blokes down. Some of these blokes grew up in the war and some even during the depression. They've got a lot of intestinal fortitude," he said.
He said they would decide what to do at their annual general meeting next Tuesday.
That would start with cleaning up the site before assessing the condition of the equipment inside.
Mr Laird said they would meet as a social group until the shed was repaired.
"I don't think anyone is going to walk away in four or five months' time," he said.
Mayor Reg Kidd said Orange City Council would try to fast-track the insurance process and, if needed, find another building.
"I don't suspect it will be several months [before they could return]," he said.
Police have called for anyone driving past the scene between 1.57am and 2.39am on Saturday with dash cam footage or who saw the attack to come forward.
Detective Chief Inspector Bruce Grassick, Crime Manager Central West Police District, said they had CCTV footage showing at least one person lighting the fire.
"We know there are number of motorists including trucks who went past that area at the time. We want to see whatever footage they have on their dash cams and speak to the drivers involved because we believe they lit that individual up," he said.
"We have got someone who has gone out there and deliberately set a fire with the intention of destroying the building.
"Somebody in the community knows who has done this and they need to let us know. We don't want this to escalate any further."
