The vehicle was extinguished by NSW Rural Fire Service's at Gosling Creek Reserve, after what has been a break in reports of burned-out cars in Orange.
The NSW Rural Fire Service's Spring Hill brigade attended the scene on Bargwanna Road having received a call out at around 5.40am.
CanobolasRF zone operations officer Brett Bowden said he would "assume it was a stolen vehicle".
Officers from the Central West Police District also attended the scene after a member of the public called in the fire in the early hours.
Detective Inspector Bruce Grassick will provide more details on the incident at midday Thursday.
