A very cold and brisk morning welcomed the Orange City under 11s at the annual Kinross Walla gala day.
The Lions had three very difficult games. Their first assignment was against the Bullocking Bathurst Blue Bulldogs who were on the charge from the kick off ,the Lions tried to out muscle them but no avail the dogs running away with the match.
The Lions under 11s next opponent was a very well drilled cross town rival Emus white who from the kick off threw the ball from side to side creating gaps which the young Lions weren't able to close.
The boys tried to make up points in the second half but the full time whistle blew and the Emus White running out victors.
The last game of the day was again against cross town rivals Emus Green The young Lions started the game well but the Emus side eventually got on top running away with the victory.

The Chemmart Orange City under 13s welcomed Forbes on Saturday.
The scoreboard flashed up five points in the first minute when Harrison Kukla received the ball from a short Platypi kick-off and weaving through the defence in familiar style.
Angus Tremain sent the ball over the horizontal for his first of four successful conversions.
James Walker reached out to steal the ball from a Forbes line-out, Hayden Buesnel offloading superbly to Lily Bone who muscled through the defence, moving the ball on to Tremain who added seven points, converting his own try.
Brilliant tackles from Charlie Poole and Harrison Wood stopped Forbes getting into attacking territory. Trixie Ward was resolute in defence, and a steal and run by Temana TeRupe saw the ball again in the hands of Kukla.
Forbes thought they had prevented another try just short of the stripe, however Kukla threw his arm over, grounding the ball to bring the half-time score to 19-7 to the Lions.
The Lions denied the Platypi any points in the second half, Dominic Segger starting off with a superb catch and strong run, handing the ball to Tremain who ran half the paddock and offloaded to Kukla who coasted over for his hat-trick.
The Lions dominated the line-outs, Alex O'Brien propelling the ball into the waiting arms of Walker, flicking through to Lachlan Newman who slipped through the defence, handed the ball to Tama Nixon who gained valuable ground and moved the ball on to Andrew Ingham who sailed over to cross for the Lions.
Alexa McKinnon-Braid followed the ball down the right wing, and Ilka Gordon proved difficult to stop, surging through the Forbes pack, passing the ball to Kukla who stormed down the field, flicking the ball to Jamie Adams who scored perfectly under the posts.
Final score 38-7 to the Lions.

CYMS SILVER
CYMS Silver had a great game against Ex-Services Lions on Saturday. Our player of the week was Xavier Sherwood and Superstar was Matt Crump with two goals under his belt.
An extra mention goes out to last week's winners of our awards being Albie Robinson as player of the week and Toby Dickinson as Superstar for his two goals. None of these goals would be possible without the great defence of our backs Lucius Burke, Charlie Isaacs, Coahan Kaufman and Jacob Ferry who are all doing well adapting to their positions.
Austin Macdouall and Zander Hainsworth were awesome in their attack, passing well, creating many opportunities. Congratulations boys, thanks to coach Andrew and Waratahs Early Learning Centre.
