Both mornings started out pretty chilly but everyone soon warmed up as they ran along the most beautiful and scenic trails, across creek beds, up and down the valleys and through the Glow Worm Tunnel before heading back down the valley to the finish line.

Everyone commented on how spectacular the course was - it's one definitely to add to the list of trail events to do.

Alison Broughton and her two girls, Lily and Sophie ran in the Ted English Bolt 6 km on Saturday. Lily finished in a fantastic time of 47:48 and was placed first of 16 in the under-13 category.

Sophie followed closely behind in a great time of 48.10 and was placed second also in under-13. Congratulations Team Broughton. John Betts ran in the Half Marathon on Saturday and finished in a fantastic time of 2:46 and placed sixth of 13 in 60-plus age category.

In the Half Marathon on Sunday Kate Thornton finished in a time of 2:32 and placed ninth of 50 in 40-49 age category. Next home was Alison Broughton in a great time of 2:42 and placed 16th in 40-49 age category. Trent Brown finished well after having a fall in the time of 3:30 and placed 23rd in 40-49 age category.

Annabelle Hosie and Mindy Smith had a great run and crossed the line together in the time of 3:37 and placed 44th and 45th in 40-49 age category.

Also on the weekend Daryl Roweth and Kinisha Roweth competed at the Bay2Bay at Gosford finishing with a lap inside the football stadium. Kinisha completed the 12km race in 59:23 finishing 13th out of 151 in the 20-29 category.

Daryl completed the Half Marathon in 1:39:29 finishing ninth out of 61 in the 50-59 category.

At the Sunday club run on the walking track at Shiralee Road, 75 runners challenged themselves over the one, two or three laps on the out and back course.

The overall handicap winner was the super quick Sam Harma who was the fastest over the 12km distance.

The top three runners over the distances were:

Male: 4km - Stephen Martin 16:36, Lachlan Ross 18:42 and Hugh Corcoran 18:42; 8km - Warwick Blackwell 35:44, Hugh Daintith 37:04, Mitch Essex 39:38; 12km - Sam Harma 47:57, Iain McLean 51:47 and Brad Simmons 53:14.

Female: 4km - Amber Rich 17:08, Claire Gates 18:02 and Janet Martin 18:57; 8km - Bec Davis 46:04, Clair Blair 48:48 and Kim Jarvis 50:07; 12km - Leanne Corcoran 51:51, Alison Spurway 66:39 and Alicia Anlezark 69:53.

Eighty-four runners tackled the Wednesday night chill with three members reaching milestones and receiving medals to recognise their achievements. Greg Shapter 200 runs, Kim Roweth 600 runs and David Craig 700 runs.

The fastest runners on the night were:

Male: Connor Whiteley 10:28, Hugh Daintith 11:29 and Anthony Daintith 11:31.

Female: Carissa Hickey 11:36, Abby Dean 12:04 and Liz Simpson 12:31.

Personal best times were recorded by Ian Spurway 19s, Andrew Napier 59s, Phillapa Hogg 1m36s, James West 9s and Lauren Beels 3s.

The Sunday Club run is at Bulgas Road starting at 9am, with the various distances available 3km to 14km.
