Team 1 Keegan looked unstoppable, pulverising Team 3 Hannan into the dust with wins for Jesse Keegan, Matt Showels, Kial Huysmans, Chris Elkington, John Hannan, Katie Hailes, Troy Seers and Lyle Davis took out his work colleague Matt Wilson in four, while Frank the tank Cavalli still on a high after Italy luckily beat Greece in the Euro qualifiers finally claimed victory over great friend Chris Doucas after five previous unsuccessful attempts.
Team 2 Baker snuck home against Team 6 Hanlon with wins for the Baker brothers Scott and Kynan, Glenn Atkinson, Peter Hanlon, Marcus Ronan, Brock Gannon, Steve Blackwood and Rhonda Cavalli brought Jarrod Collett back a peg or two by thumping him in four, while Morgan Mahlo had been training three hours a day every day since losing to his brother Lindsay five weeks ago.
That training finally paid off beating Lindsay 3-nil, leaving him feeling down in the mouth.
Team 5 Bigg edged out Team 4 Kidson with wins for a resurgent George Eleftheriou, Steve Bigg, Pat Clarkstone, Michael Abberton, David Neil, Judd Felsher and Theresa Mahlo played well in her debut match, while there was plenty of controversy in the match between Graham Kidson and Lawry Brayne with some crucial umpiring calls upsetting both players.
Graham settled the better and took the win in four games.
