For Kinross Wolaroi School student Lazo Jalal solving the complex puzzle is a breeze, it's all about how quickly he can punch it out.

The year 8 student will travel to Melbourne next month to compete in the Rubik's Presents WCA World Championship 2019.

The competition will see him take on men and women of all ages from all over the world, with five timed attempts to provide an average speed.

Lazo has been creating order from the coloured cubes since a friend showed him the solution at 10-years-old.

"It's a sequence," he said.

"Look online for the solution and once you learn: practice and practice."

Lazo's fastest attempt is 6.3-seconds, although he regularly completes it in 11-12 seconds.

The current world champion finished the cube in 3.47 seconds.
