Nikki Maree Smith, 32, of Dalton Street, was originally jailed for 10 months for the offences on August 4, but appealed in Orange District Court.
According to police, Smith got into a taxi at the Lord's Place taxi rank at 12.30am and told the driver she wanted to go to Currong Crescent.
When he asked her to show him she could pay the fare she showed him a $20 note, but when he stopped at the address she said she wouldn't pay the $17 fare and got out.
She's never been in custody before.

The driver flagged police down and they found Smith in a bedroom inside a nearby house, but when they tried to arrest Smith, she struggled.
Once in the vehicle she spat police from behind the closed door and when she arrived at the police station she spat in the face of another police officer, who had to undergo medical tests to rule out infectious diseases.
In court, solicitor Gerry Stapleton said his client paid the taxi fare on the way to the proceedings.
"She's never been in custody before," he said.
Solicitor for the Director of Public Prosecutions Sarah Tait said magistrate David Day had "dealt with it seriously" and an ICO would be adequate.
Acting Judge Geoffrey Graham handed down the 10-month order, also requiring Smith to complete eight hours of community service a month.
