Team 1 Keegan beat Team 4 Clarkstone with wins for Jesse Keegan, Frank Cavalli, Pat Clarkstone, Simon Chapman, Katie Hailes, Lyle Davis and Matt Showels beat a dejected Tom Belmonte. Pat Clarkstone hung on to win in five while Chris Elkington and Graham Kidson have played a total of 13 times with the match going to five games on 12 of those occasions.

Team 2 Mahlo beat Team 3 Hannan with wins for Glenn the milkman Atkinson, Lindsay Mahlo, Jacob Evans, Kym Knight and Steve rowdy Blackwood. Team 5 Garlick snuck home against Team 6 Garton with wins for Morgan Mahlo, Nathan Garton, Jarrod Collett, Brock Gannon, Yvonne Tracey, Harvey Wilson and the pencil necked geek David Neil.

Matt Garlick came back from 2-nil down to beat the temperamental Tim Howarth while in the battle of the grumpy old men Peter Brearley fell over the line against the wily veteran Rod Bevan where squash was definitely the winner.
